The WindowsI took these pictures on an extremely cloudy Indiana day. I was visiting my dad at the time so I was able to take a few pictures for this portfolio. I tried to position the camera to show 2 different heights in the design of the house. The openness of the porch to the left, the medium height of the brick to the right, then the taller upstairs near the left of the picture. I really like how the pictures turned out and I'm very happy with them.

On A Rainy Day |
The Hunchback of Notre DameI took both of these pictures right after I had finished the matinee Sunday show of Hunchback of Notre Dame in November of 2019. I unfortunately lost the original photo I took so I decided to take the pictures again. In the original photo, my plan was to photoshop myself, (I played Quasimodo in the production), into the shot. But, after the assignment was given, I saw the building as a very interesting building to photograph. My favorite part about this photo is how the building is slightly tilted so it creates a very interesting leading line.
TiltStaircase to Heaven |
The BellsDoor to the SoulThis is the same door that was seen in the first few photos of this portfolio. I found the look of the brick next to a very smooth door very intriguing to me. I also decided to tilt my camera to give the photo some depth. By having the photo on an angle, the leading lines are slightly crooked which makes you look at the different details within the photo.
Levels of Shadows |
These are the stairs inside my dad's house. I really like how the stairs are shape and thought it would make a good blueprint picture as well as a regular picture. I really enjoy how the wood grain looks in both pictures. It was around 9 a.m. when I took this picture and I think it made the picture look better. I tried to get a series of light levels within the picture and I think I achieved that.
The Shed in the Backyard |
Leftover SnowThis shed is sitting in the backyard of the my dad's house. I found this shed very interesting because it had the wood grain due to being made of wood yet still had some snow on it. In addition, I thought the shed would make a good blueprint photo and in my opinion, it turned out very well. I also really like how the green plant life compares to the colors of the white and gray shed and creates contrasts.
