The Light at the End of the HallwayThis photo took a lot of trail and error. My goal was to have you see a piece of the full lap via a reflection and the other half via the object being in frame. This was very hard to achieve but I believe that I reached my goal. When taking this photo, I took my lamp and arranged it in a way I liked where I could see both elements in frame. From this point, I brought my camera in. This was possibly the hardest point because I had to hold the lamp still while I also moved the camera around to get the angles I wanted. In the end I'm very happy how this photo turned out.
The ExpanseMusic is a huge part of my life and I've always wanted to take a series of photos the encompassed that. Fortunately, I was able to get that goal done with these few photos in this portfolio. When taking this photo in particular, I wanted to make the ukulele look bigger than it really was. I was able to achieve this by created a very large shadow in the background while you're still able to see the actual ukulele. In my opinion, this photo is very interesting because the wood on the ukulele against the shadow adds a bit of contrast and texture.
